I couldn't believe how clear and calm the sea has been for last a few weeks. Usually the colour of the sea is brown on the coast. I just can't take my eyes off. I keep staring at the water, and keep dipping in.
The water is warmer than usual for this year too, the other day we popped down to Sizewell beach, water was warmer, this wasn't because of the power station ( which some people like to joke about) , walberswick, Shingle street, Dunwich Heath, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh all of them. I haven't been to Southwold for dip, but I am sure it's the same.
One early evening we popped down to Sizewell, it was beautiful, kinda forget how beautiful and peaceful the beach is. It's the closest beach from us.
So, we went down for early morning dip too following morning.
We walked along the beach, footpath and look over the beach from outside the caravan park. Poppies were in full, so as sea poppies.
I feel so blessed being this side of Suffolk, feels like every day is a holiday ๐
I took some photos to share with you here....
If you are nearby, please come to Sizewell beach for walk. There's a footpath to Thorpeness along the coast line and it is beautiful.

Walberswick! Haven't been there for a little while. Made a bit different from Dunwich. We parked our car on the top of Walberswick, by the road next to the wood. Walked down to the beach from there.
What we noticed today was many people walking and driving on the road despite the weather ( a bit windy and still a bit chilly) . It was lovely to see so many people and family outing ( I am guessing...) to walberswick. It is beautiful and amazing scenery over reeds.
We saw kestrel hunting, a pair of buzzard, little eaglet, swans and ducks... I know they are quite common here in Britain, still I love seeing them in their natural habitat. So elegant when they fly, apart from ducks.... they are cute๐
After our little walk, we drove down to Minsmere for coffee ( decaf). We sat outside the cafe in the blue sky with fluffy clouds. Birds were chirping, jumping arounds, it was so lovely. I felt really content sitting outside listening to birds singing. Then I saw a huge dinosaur! I am sure it was grey heron, looked so big. I do love watching big birds like heron, or any birds of prey.
On our way back in the car, I felt really tired, we only did a little walk, but my body was really feeling it. I could sit on my Trekinetick ( off road wheelchair) but I sometimes want to build my stamina, energy and strength my body... I need to move as well. Anyway, I was shattered by the time I got home. Needed to have some rest....
We had early dinner, vegan pasta with wild garlic pesto ( which I got given when we were in Salthouse) I never made wild garlic pesto, so it was exciting to make and taste. It is delicious. I defo recommend! Just like basil pesto, same principal!
here are some more photos...
One Saturday afternoon in March...
Dunwich isn't far from us, we only live in a market town of Saxmundhm๐คฉ Dunwich is one of our favorite place for our little walk. Since my illness, I am not able to walk too far, so walk in Greyfriars is perfect. It has sea view, history, beautiful snowdrops in winter, lovely footpaths, and peaceful.
We used to go for different places for snowdrops but this year, not able to visit, that was due to I was in Japan early this month which were one of reasons... By the time I came back, the most of snowdrops were going out, still, it was very pretty. I feel grateful to be able to see them after my return.

I was so excited that finally visited to Orford Ness this sunday. It was huge! Much bigger than what I expected.
We arrived a bit earlier than when we booked for the little NT ( National Trust) ferry to across the river. Felt like I wasn't wearing the right footwear, never mind I was able to get into the ferry with help of NT lady. I was a bit feeling tired, so not sure how far I could walk.
When we arrived on the Ness, walked to a van ( from WW2 I would imagine) to listen to the guide explaining us about Ness and footpaths. I am a bit def, I wasn't able to hear all of what he was saying, good job, Marcus ( my partner) got good hearings. They did ask me if I could walk for a few miles to get to the office ( we hired off road NT mobility scooter), I thought I could walk. I was wrong, it was farther than what I expected, I started moaning ๐ as usual... Anyway, took us a bit but got there in the end. As soon as I got on the scooter, I was happy. I loved it, walked a lot on the ness.
The view from the viewpoint was amazing. Shingles everywhere, so wide and ..... nothing there.... apart from remains from what they used that time.
Weather was ok, it was a bit windy but bearable. We had a little rain ( spitting a bit), stopped quickly. I was told on the Ness, either windy and cold or blasting with heat and really hot, but it wasn't bad, actually it was quite pleasant. We had lovely time there. We decided to come back to Ness for nature walk, which we didn't have time to do that day. Nature took over the Ness, I would love to walk ( with the scooter) the footpath.
Oh, we popped into the war exhibition, it was interesting what went on on the Ness. At the same time, when I saw a diagram about atomic bombs which, scared me. Ones were dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan were one of smallest ones. How scary is that, they caused so much damages and people are still suffering after mass of atomic bombs. I pray for peace, world peace. ๐
